Shipping Policy

At The Salty Lab, every product is made-to-order through our print-on-demand partner, Printful. This means your items aren’t sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shipped—instead, they’re created just for you when you place an order. By producing on demand, we reduce overproduction, minimize waste, and keep our footprint lighter on the planet.

Fulfillment Time

  • Standard fulfillment takes 2–7 business days before your order ships.

  • Fulfillment may take slightly longer during high-demand seasons (holidays, sales, etc.), but this slow fashion model helps ensure less waste.

Shipping Estimates

  • U.S. Orders: usually arrive within 5–10 business days after fulfillment.

  • International Orders: may take 10–21 business days, depending on customs and local carriers.

Eco-Friendly Approach

  • Because our items are made-to-order, it may take a little longer to receive them—but this process helps eliminate excess production and unsold stock.

  • Multiple products in one order may ship separately, depending on fulfillment locations, which reduces long-haul shipping distances and cuts carbon emissions.

Tracking
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link to follow your package’s journey from our print partner to your doorstep.

Refund & Return Policy

Because our products are made to order, we do not offer returns or exchanges for incorrect sizing or buyer’s remorse. Please check our sizing guides carefully before purchasing.

If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos, and we’ll work with our supplier to replace the item at no additional cost.

Donation Policy

Your donations fuel The Salty Lab’s research, education, and outreach programs. At this time, contributions may not be tax-deductible, as The Salty Lab is currently registered as an LLC. We are actively exploring a transition to nonprofit status, and we’ll keep supporters updated when donations become tax-deductible.

We are committed to transparency—donors receive updates on projects supported by their gifts. Recurring monthly donations (such as through our Research Fleet) can be canceled at any time.
